One year in high speed… :)
Christmas 2009 is over.. It felt like yesterday when I spent christmas eve at The place in Greenwich Village with a cosmo and dinner with my parents - but however this is one year ago.. scary!
Well, I´ve had a couple of days with out training… and now I´m back for some bikram practice.
I´ve taken class two days in a row and I´m gonna go today as well.. and all week.
I love it, my body feels good doing it, and the dancing and the rest of my training improves when I do it.
Since I´m just a tiny bit restless though (lol) I wouldn´t enjoy it as much if I did it every day, all days, always… - but in periods, it´s amazing. And after a break of 4 months it feels great.
And tomorrow it´s new year´s eve.. One year since I spent the evening in a freeeeezing cold New York - and this year: even worse crrrrrazy cold here in Stockholm…
Well - it´s just a night out of all nights - and hopefully we´re heading towards warmer nights!
W.52 is here…
…and tomorrow I teach my last classes for 2009:
Core 18.00
Street 18.30
@ St Eriksbron.. then I´m taking some xmas holiday, with some rest, recovery and focus on my own training. How about that?
I might do a workshop though.. and if you wanna join, keep your eyes open! I´ll post it on my website, and of course here…
Are you gonna workout during the holidays? Are you doing something extravagant or do you stick to your regular training?
Or is this the time of the year when you let yourself rest for a while?
Last thing: for you who knows me - time for yet another picture proof.. lol..
This time: cupcakes! They were delish!
No more snow…!
Consider to the crap weather that was yesterday I was convinced that I was gonna be by myself at my jazz class - with my full understanding for that.. lol!
But there were about 20 sweet dancers that joined me for some xmas-jazz! Good stuff, and great job!
I even got a x-mas gift, a book that I´m looking forward to read. Many thanks!!
A wish for xmas - or a new year´s resolution…or 2 in 1!
After some working with this project, I´ve got good news…
In collaboration with Apollo we´ll arrenge a training trip - to Fuertaventura, Spain. And by “we”, I refere to me and Fredrik!
March 8th - 15th is the date, and it´ll be a week full of training and sun at the newly built Playitas - which is a great facility for this kind of activities.
It´s a pretty generous schedule which offers you five classes a day - and each day you can do at least one dance class, one tough cardio class, one strength class, and one class that´s more in to flexibily, balance and inner calm.
There´ll also be lectures, and possibilitys to immerse yourself a little extra in dancing…and you´ll even get an opportunity to perform with your dance skills, if you´re up to that!
Or, if you want you can workout in the gym, play some golf, or just chill out at the pool and get yourself a nice tan
To see the exact schedule, price and further info - go to the website of Apollo.

Join us and refill your energy with a week of sun and training…
at Playitas Hotel, Fuertaventura!

I got some catching up 2 do…
Here´s a short sum up of this week:
The weekend was work work work.. I held another jam-initial training, in Stockholm. It was a pretty small group - and a very sweet group. Just one from Stockholm - and the rest was from all over the country (and even one danish gal)
Monday: I taught my “Tribal House” class at my streetdance class at St Eriksbron - and I got great response that truly warmed.
I got one more monday before some christmas holiday break…
Today: I taught my last wednesday street for the semester - nothing indicated that it soon is x-mas, it was a full class with a lot of energetic dance peeps. I did my Britney choreo…
Tomorrow: I´m teaching my last jazz for the semester… and last week I promised something with holiday spirit… we´ll see how that goes : )
No commentsRe-united!
I´ve had a week without computer… cause for some reason it shut down last sunday at the airport in Estonia! Luckily my friend and computer expert helped me fix it - and today I got it back, yay!
It´s becoming a bit disabled without computer..
I´ve had a good week!
There´s been a bit of a Best of 2009-theme at my dance classes with some re-runs.
Now it´s only one week left before I take some x-mas time off, and we´ll see what happens..
I might do some tribal house at one of my classes.
This weekend I´m holding an initial training here in Stockholm - a pretty small group, pure girl power!

Third day of the training is mainly about keeping a good energy up all day… to make all do their very best all the way to the end - and then to wrap it all up in a positive way of course.
It is one last presentation the third day, and since it´s only one time it may leave you with a bit of: this is it - feel… so of course there are some nerves that matters this time as well..
But they all did a great job and they did their best!
I´m very happy with the weekend - and now I´m back in Stockholm. I taught my regular classes at St Eriksbron yesterday - and I did a re-run of an old favourite in the street dance class, and played a little bit. That was fun!
Today - a day off.. at least from training, and it feels like it´s needed. : )
No commentsWell done…
Day 2 in a initial training is all about progress.
If the first day results in a nice physical tiredness - the second day leave you with more of a mental fatigue, both as a student and as a trainer I guess…
My job today is to pay attention to everything - and to give relevant and useful feedback after both the presentations that the group does… And in beetween those there are two longer lecture sessions - about coaching, and connecting.
I had three instructors that taught for the very first time - and as if that wasn´t enough - they had to do it in english… There´s been a bit of nervousness in the room all day - but the whole group has been great and done an excellent job!
Looking forward to the last day!

… and two more to go! I talk about days of initial training.
First day is all about fysical activity, energy and pace - both for me and for my students. And I just love it!
The main focus for the first day, is on the technique and choreography - to learn it and to break the sequences down to small pieces - practice, over and over again - and nail it.
As a “student” there´s a lot to absorb and adapt the first day - so both body and mind can be a little bit tired in the end of the day… There´s always a point where the group start looking at me with an empty glance - and then I know that it´s time to wrap it up.
Also - it turned out that I have the Estonian equivalent of Bob Harper in my training…the male coach for the Biggest Looser Estonia.
I saw that on a poster in the city tonight when Marit,
who´s the Les Mills Manager of Estonia, took me out for a walk.
Well, I thought that the girls checked him out a little extra :)

Early oh so early…
…and since Estonia is one hour ahead - it´s even earlier…
But I´m excited to start the training - and I love the first day, when it´s all about the practical - and a lot of training.
So, soon I´m heading to the all new Tallin Dance Adacemy. Just gonna snooze one more time first…
